With the help of 2QT publishers these are my thoughts and adventures from growing up on Teesside and exploring the natural world around us to publish A Boro boy: Connections with nature. I have always liked to explore and enjoy nature; with us having a year like no other it gave me an opportunity to look through the 'McGowan archives' and put together my 'connections with nature' as my first book. I've wrote a book! I'm now a young writer can you believe it. I've been writing, photographing and videoing  since I was little and my passion is conservation.

PRODUCT DETAILS

Joshua McGowan has followed his dream of immersing himself in nature and conservation. A Boro Boy: Connections with Nature reveals how he has discovered and established a lifelong connection with the natural world. Growing up on Teesside allowed Joshua to explore diverse habitats and learn to respect his local environment. A quarter of a century later, his passion for the countryside and its inhabitants is just as strong. Join him on his journey of discovery through the moorlands, wetlands and industrial landscapes across Britain.

As the world faces ever greater environmental challenges, it is vital that we all become more aware of what we have around us - and that we all share the responsibility for looking after it. This lyrical and heartfelt book shows how that can be done.
